We believe the best food is shared in the heart of the community. That’s why we’ve launched our Friday Night Fish Fry series—a culinary incubator designed to perfect our recipes and build the foundation for our future standalone restaurant.
Every Friday, we transform the social space at Soaptime Laundromat into a Guyanese flavor hub. Whether you’re stopping by for our Community Wash Nights or just hunting for the best fried snapper, kingfish or other fish in the city, we’ve got a plate waiting for you.

Follow for Updates →Founded by Levar Saul, Kaieteur Kitchen was born from a lively, friendly debate: who has it right? The Guyanese who proudly claim “Chicken Curry,” or the rest of the Caribbean who swear by “Curry Chicken”? What started as a passionate culinary challenge quickly evolved when Levar launched a pop-up kitchen at Cariwest 2025. The response was overwhelming—people tasted the food, felt the connection, and just kept asking for more.
We believe that food is the ultimate equalizer, and that we eat with those we truly trust. By merging the culinary arts with local hubs like Soaptime, we are doing more than serving meals; we are creating a welcoming table where neighbours become family.
Every single dish is fully conceptualized and crafted under the expert guidance of Head Chef Mondisa Douglas—professionally trained and deeply passionate, ensuring each recipe delivers a true culinary masterpiece straight from El Dorado.
